Message from Dave Markham, CEC President/CEO
To Our Members: Climate change is the most important issue to impact electric rates since deregulation of the electric utility industry.
Lawmakers in Oregon and the nation are engaged in this important climate change dialogue that will form the basis for our state and national energy policies for years to come.
Because these policies will have a significant impact on all of our members, Central Electric Cooperative is working closely with our elected officials in Salem and Washington, D.C.
We are seeking a sound, responsible plan that balances electricity needs and environmental goals while maintaining reliability and affordable rates.
You too may want to get involved in this dialogue. If so, I would welcome you to join Central Electric and other Oregon cooperatives in the Power of Community grassroots program.
Get the answers you need from our elected officials.
Thank you.
